Wear Parts Available in Urethane or Rubber

Some of the Dur-X-Line® wear parts are offered in a choice of urethane or rubber for a longer operating life. All have excellent resistance to abrasion, tears, impact and corrosion. Their light weight saves time and labor in installation, and their sound-deadening qualities are helpful in noise reduction.

Durex will work with you to determine the best wear parts for your wet or dry application.

Urethane is preferred for wet applications and fine material under 1 ½”. It is generally used on the sand chute of wet screening applications, or for a chute carrying a slurry. Dur-X-Line® Urethane Wear Parts are flexible and strong, with high resistance to impact and abrasion. Their surface resists material build-up and damage by oil, grease or solvents. Durex has been molding urethane products since 1975. The quality of these wear parts is second to none.

Rubber is normally used for coarse material with a diameter of 1 ½” or larger as it is best for absorbing impact. Dur-X-Line® Rubber Wear Parts are molded from heavy-duty rubber. Because they typically outlast steel under conditions of severe abrasion and constant impact, these parts reduce maintenance expenses and downtime. Most are available in customized versions for specific aggregate and mining applications.

The Durex Screening Experts can help you determine which products are most cost-effective for your operation. Custom designs are available, with dependable delivery from our rubber and urethane factory.

Linings And Protective Coverings
Dur-X-Line® Linings and Protective coverings are manufactured to customer specifications in three basic styles:
  • Modular snap-on panels of urethane, rubber, or rubber/ceramic
  • Bolt-on sheets of steel-backed urethane, rubber, or rubber/ceramic
  • Weld-on sheets of steel-backed urethane, rubber, or rubber/ceramic
Typical configurations and applications include:
  • Custom angles
  • Profile or impact applications
  • Discharge chutes, feed chutes or high-wear areas

Impact Pads
By shielding screens at the point of impact, Dur-X-Line® Rubber or Urethane Impact Pads reduce localized wear and extend screen life.
